Group Captain Perminder Antil, SC is currently serving as Defence Attaché of India in Cairo, Egypt, with concurrent accreditation to Cyprus. Commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force in 2001, he is a Fighter Combat Leader with over 4,000 flying hours and is qualified on MiG-21, Su-30MKI, and Sukhoi-30 aircraft, including low-level aerobatics. He has held key operational and command roles, including Flight Commander and Commanding Officer of a Su-30MKI Squadron, and has served at the Tactics and Air Combat Development Establishment (TACDE). His academic qualifications include a BSc, an MSc in Defence & Strategic Studies, and an MA in International Relations. He is married and has three sons.
